We have checked with Jodie Banks at Bankstown City Council (Team Leader - Recreation) and Kevin Young and I have contacted Michael Clancy at the Bankstown Sports Club.
Craig Moiler has also spoken to Jodie Banks at the Crest advisory committee meeting yesterday evening.

Okay, this is what I have been informed.
The Islamic Festival will be held at Carysfield Park on the Hume Highway.
The areas around the velodrome will be used for parking and patrons of the Festival will be parked and bussed to and from the festival grounds.
The areas of the Crest fields will be used first and the Velodrome parking used for overflow.
There will be security and traffic control to guide the parking within the velodrome.
The first five (or so?) parking bays close to the velodrome main entrance will be reserved for cyclists and patrons of the DGV.

An extra 10 minutes or so should be allowed for in the trip to the velodrome.

Hoping that this helps.
Cheers!

regards,
Peter
