Your Division will be split into two heats. So if there are 18 riders in div 2 there will be two heats each containing 9 riders. However the maximum in a field is 12 riders, so if we have more than 24 sign on in any division we will actually have 3 heats. The race is run under standard scratch race rules. At only 1.25km in length this race is considered more like a sprint than a scratch race. Here is a video, but please do not emulate http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GaW_2E_bPU0 Mystery- This is a standard scratch race however the number of laps is predetermined by the organiser and concealed. The riders are given a bell with 1 lap to go. 200m Fly procedure • A handler will be on the back straight waiting for you • As the previous competitor goes past doing their final lap, you will be push started • You will receive 2 laps to go as you past the start/finish. • Upon completion of your Fly you will be allowed 1 warm down lap only vacating the track down the back ramp. • The above procedure must be the same for all competitors 200m Fly, Record • The RAW/FNWTR record is held by Tim McMillan 10.99 Aug 2011 200m Fly, for non Div 1 riders • Every year, I get asked by a heap of riders if they can ride the 200m fly • I must be mindful of the amount of riders that do participate, as this is a time consuming process. • If you are not Div 1 and wish to participate, you must email me stating your reason for consideration before 12noon Friday. Point Score info Last week’s top scorers • Div 1 Jack Edwards 18 points • Div 2 Bradley Heap 18 points • Div 3 Tom Bolton 18 points • Div 4 Stelio Pappas and Sean Moran 18 points • Div 5 Alex Cameron 20 points TWE Wheels Division leaders (http://www.rawtrack.com.au/TWE.jpg) • Div 1 Ben Harvey 113 points • Div 2 Scott Mills 123 points • Div 3 Nathan Garard + Tom Bolton 115 points • Div 4 Stelio Pappas 124 points • Div 5 Mark Fakhouri 105 points Teams/Clubs Challenge (http://www.rawtrack.com.au/sponsors/Hillbrick.jpg) 1 Dulwich Hill 2330 2 Lidcombe 1449 3 Penrith 1316 4 St George 1296 5 Hunter Districts 951 6 Central Coast 861 7 Sutherland 753 8 Illawarra 679 9 ATTA nsw 600 10 Bankstown Sports 563 Junior Development this week • Please prompt for a 6pm start • Senior warm up will be stopped for about 10minutes at 6:15pm • First Junior demonstration event will be at 7:02pm LACC proposed a challenge to DHBC this week • I made a modified challenge • After this there has been much debate and proposed modifications on various forums with no real acceptance or agreement. • DHBC are the rightful leaders in the Hillbrick club challenge through commitment to participation and will most likely continue on to be the 2012 RAW Club champions. • Just to stir up the hornets’ nest a little! On paper DHBC had a significantly stronger team and would have most likely won the sub-fight anyway. Canteen @ the DGV • Our good friends from Bankstown Sports Cycling club will again be running a canteen this Friday • They provide a range of foods and drinks and well worth supporting. • To allow for a prompt pack up please order you food before the last race of the night. Wednesday training @ the DGV • Our good friends from Bankstown Sports Cycling club will again be running track training this Wednesday. • This is a great opportunity to advance your track skills or just learn some. • Training starts at 6pm for the beginners and after 7pm there is a 160 lapper above the blue.
