Title: Race All Summer (!!) on Friday Nights at Lidcombe Oval
Post by: ruffred on November 25, 2009, 08:32:07 AM
For those of you RAW folk suffering from RAW withdrawls , don't forget Lidcombe - Auburn CC  (LACC) run a great track carnival every Friday night , at Lidcombe Oval . Our club has been racing there EVERY year since 1920 !

We run a very family , fun and friendly program each week , and we have a grade for everyone , from A to D grade Seniors (incl U17's and selected U15's) , and a healthy Junior entry , Divisions 1 - 3 . PLUS , what you don't get at RAW is our wonderful BMX Fun Rides , where your kids , (remember them ?) can come and have a go on their BMX's or MTB's , just like their Dad , Mum , Sister or Brother . Some of our best riders began at this very fun level of racing . Don't deny your kids the fun which you get from Track Racing

A graders , come and challenge the Docker boys , Callum & Michael ,  Ben Isaksen , Scott Suine and others , they're waiting for you
Race program include scratch races , points races , Wheelrace Handicap over the full 1720m , there is nothing like a full on Wheelrace handicap on the big quarter mile tracks , DGV has nothing on it !

Lidcombe Oval's wiide open spaces , 430m track with its gentle slopes is an ideal place for those of you who may find the steep walls of DGV a bit daunting

Some very famous riders have learnt their track craft at Lidcombe Oval , including our very own World Champion Alex Carver , the Law boys , the Dockers , Nugget Bennett , Ben Isaksen , Andrew Herrmann , and even our favourite mouthpiece Paul Craft

Racing on the sterile 250m freeway of DGV can make you sterile and uninteresting , come and spreead your wings and start being the complete track rider , beginning at Lidcombe Oval
