From a small family brewery in the heart of the Czech Moravian highlands. In its cellars, about 11 000 hl of beer FERMENTS and MATURES before being shipped to Australia. Introducing one of the world's finest boutique beers, Bernard Beer.

Bernard Beer will be sponsoring the final night of RAW Track.

On the final night of the series the crew from Bernard Beer are coming along to check out the Sydney Track Scene. They will be bringing a load of beer to ensure that those of us at the RAW Track presentation don't go thirsty.

I need to lay down some ground rules
I would ask for your co-operation on these matters

•   No underage drinking.
•   Responsible Service of Alcohol rules will be applied.
•   rubbish must be disposed of sensibly
•   Patrons consider purchasing product at their next visit to the bottle shop.

The Last RAW for 2010

News and Information
For Series 9
 2010
For Week 13
September 10 2010

Week 13 Bring it!

RAW TRACK Newsletter 2010 sponsored by:

www.Bicisport.com.au

This week’s Races
•   Round 1   warm up Scratch
•   Round 2   no race (save time)
   Round 3  Win’N’Out
•   Round 4  Point a Lap

•   Round 5  Combines +CNSW time blaster  (8:22 record Scott Law 2008 )
•   Round 6 Race video replays, Pizza and Beer at the Kiosk + Presentation and Music Video

Explain these races
Win’N’ Out This is the opposite of a Miss’N’Out race. After a designated number of laps a whistle is blown for the first sprint. The winner of the first sprint is deemed the winner of the race and allowed to carefully withdraw from the race. Each proceeding lap sprint will produce the consecutive places from 2nd to 4th. Tip if you go for a sprint make sure you win it.

Point'a'Lap- The race is run similar to a point score-however each lap is a sprint for first place only and worth one point. The overall winner is the rider with the most points

CNSW  Time Blaster

•   On the final night of each season the money only goes off if the record is broken
•   The Record is held by Scott Law set last year @ 8min 22 sec
•   The Time Blaster is worth $200

Large numbers
•   Usually we can expect a few extra cyclists to help celebrate the final night.
•   To ensure everyone gets their full program of racing in…….;
•   Warm up will end at 6:57pm
•   Riders will be encourage to be prompt to their starting positions
•   1 lap warm down rule will apply.

Junior Development
•   Has concluded for 2010
•   Big Thanks to Michelle

A Little birdie told me.
•   There is a big chance of seeing a current Junior World Champion on the track.
•   Jackson Law has indicated that he is free of domestic duties and should be able attend the final night of RAW.
•   Usually if Jackson attends he brings some pretty hot riders along with him. So expect Div 1 to be smoking on the last night.
•   I am sure Jackson will be keen to take his brothers record of 8:22 in the CNSW Time Blaster

Special Announcements (Final Night)

Final Presentation @ the Kiosk
•   This week I have organised special seating for us after RAW Track for our presentation.
•   The presentation will take place at the Kiosk on the spectator level of the DGV.
•   I will order a heap of Pizzas
•   I have some beverages
•   Please place a gold coin in the donation box to help cover some expenses.
•   Please join me in what should be a great night

Music Video

•   Each year I stretch my skills and produce a music video of the action of the season.
•   In the past this has been a highlight of the final night
•   Construction has been difficult to fit in
•   Fingers crossed it all works out. Hopefully the computer gremlins will stay away and I will have a fantastic end of season music finally

Bernard Beer @ RAW
•   For the final night of RAW I have a new sponsor in Bernard Beer.
•   It has been a lifelong dream to be sponsored by a brewery so I guess I can tick one thing off the bucket list.
•   Details will be made known at the velodrome on Friday.
•   Responsible service of Alcohol rule will strictly apply.

Bike Bug @ RAW

•   For the final night Bike Bug have donated a pair of “Speedplay Track Pedals” to be given away as I see fit.
•   I have decided to award these cool pedals to the rider (from any grade) who launches the longest lasting solo attack.
•   If no rider surpasses a reserve of “2 laps” the pedals will go to the winner of the “CNSW Time Blaster” regardless of time.

Who is hot and who is not (for TWE Point Series)

vs.

Div 1: Top 5 is decided, Gavin White should/will win but it will be a tooth and nail battle for second place

Div 1 riders
Gavin White    218
Ben Simonelli    199
David Stevens    195
Tirian McManus   169
Timothy McMillan (FOC)   165

Div 2: Top 5 is lock and loaded John Annoying Nguyen has wrapped up the win and can not be beaten.  Remaining places also look fairly static.

Div2 riders
John Nguyen   212
Ian Dencker    189
Darryl Thorncraft    181
Jared Mills    177
Michael Chidgey    170

Div 3: Top four are secure Theo will need to hold off a challenge by JB.
Interesting battle for the win, Platts-Baggs has been closing the gap over the last few weeks and is now within striking distance of the win.

Div 3 riders
Chris Ludlam    196
Anthony Platts-Baggs    189
Hugh Gray   179
Kieran Latty    175
Theo Theol    162
Justin Buckland     158

Div 4: Lise Benjamin wins. Very tight for second and there is no way of predicting the final two spots or even the final top 5.

Div 4 riders
Lise Benjamin   181
Peter Rox    165
Nathan Garard    164
Mark Craig    155
Stuart Will    154
Katrina Lane (F.O.C)    154
Aaron Frater    153

Div 5: Riders of all sizes and shapes will be battling it out on the final night. It will be an all-round interesting night in this division.

Div 5 riders
Dylan Oaten    165
Paul Harvey    156
Sean Oaten    148
Peter Buckingham    141
Ian Carswell   133
Chelsea Oaten    133

Grade point scores are frozen (for series contenders)
•   By this I mean that the Division you are in now on the point score will be the one you will earn points for the rest of the season, even if you change divisions.
•   So if you move from Div 3 to Div 2 this week your name will remain in the Div 3 point score.
•   Going down a grade is different and will be dealt with on a case by case basis.

Snr Sydney Metro’s
Entries are now closed.

Due to the nature of this side event, I must remind riders that any perceived aggressive blocking tactics by any rider (from any club) that is deemed to be in aid of the attacking rider, will result in the said riders attempt at the prize being nullified.

Anthony Platts Baggs has noted an error on last weeks scores

he was given 18 points instead of 20 he now trails Chris Ludlam by 5 points.
