Explain these races
1.5 lap Screamers - -– Riders draw lots to start in position 1-5 up the track. The riders start in a Time trial hold (No-Push) for whistle start on the pursuiters line in back straight. First one to complete 1 1/2 wins. Easy.
Snowball- - Sometimes called a progressive point-score. The race is run similar to a point score-however each lap is a sprint for first place only with the points earned corresponding to the laps completed i.e. the winner of the first sprint gets 1 point winner of the 10th sprint gets 10points. The overall winner is the rider with the most points.
In 2013 there will be several laps of no scoring before reaching the final 10 laps, which is as above. Each division will follow this however (non-sprint) laps may vary from Grade to grade.
Points go double! • This week is the first week were result points are double
• For every week you attend you receive 10 points (as per normal)
• In rounds 3,and 4 top four place getters receive 10,6,4 and 2points respectively
