Week 3 04 July 2015

A fantastic night of Racing.

Div 1 had lots of action! First of all Tirian McManus (UCI World Cup Gold Medallist) was the dominant rider of the meet and looked comfortable all night. Stand out rider of the remaining field was Lachlan Scott who was the only rider to push Tirian in the final laps. Jacob Kauffman made his second appearance on a track bike and blasted his way into div1.

There also two added inclusion into Div 1 that made heads turn. First off, Australian World Championships representatives on the Tandem, Nick Yallouris and Paul Kennedy. Also for the first time in 2 years the name “Jack Edwards” was blasted over the PA as the former Junior World Champion seemed to have a great time mixing it with his former rivals.

Of course Kierin night is always fast flowing with plenty of close finishes and the motor paced race is as per usual a suffer fest. But possibly the highlight of the night was the RAW Crawl. Check out the video below to see the div 1 crawl.
