Rules remain basically the same
Rules remain basically the same
However in the event of a rider withdrawing from the competition, the vacant spot will be replaced by the Sprinting Stig
how does it work?• The Stig will qualify in 200m fly on a 94 inch gear
• His time will be noted and the Stig theoretical grade will be determined (1-8, 9-16, etc)
• Should a rider in the same or higher grade withdraw the Stig will replace that rider and ride on any gear of their choice.
• Should a rider in a lower grade withdraw, the stig will replace that rider but must ride a gear with 1 cog less or more per grade.
• Example: A rider two grades lower withdraws, stig must ride 82inch or 110inch
In Addition, if we have a total entry list that is an odd number, the Stig must ride as slowest qualifier.
This will most likely see him on a 73inch or 130inch gear.
I know this sounds a little gimmicky, however it as a solution to a real problem that occurred on the first running of the sprint series.
I believe this is a good and workable solution.
